Singer-rapper Aaron Carter dies at age 34 in California

LANCASTER, Calif. (UKTN) — Aaron Carter, the singer-rapper who began performing as a child and recording albums since his teens, was found dead Saturday at his Southern California home. He was 34.

Representatives of Carter’s family confirmed the death of the singer. They did not immediately comment further.

Carter, the younger brother of Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, opened for Britney Spears and his brother’s boy band, and appeared on the family’s reality series “House of Carters” which aired on E! Entertainment Television.

Deputies responded around 11 a.m. to reports of a medical emergency at the Lancaster home, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Alejandra Parra said.

Parra said officers found a deceased person in the home, but she could not immediately confirm it was Carter.

Carter’s fifth and final studio album, “LOVE”, was released in 2018.
