Motorola Razr 40 Ultra: the specifications of the new foldable bring disappointment

According to various rumors, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will be the next foldable smartphone from the Lenovo brand. This will be its best foldable in 2023, although a more modest model, worthy of the Lite designation, is still expected to be revealed.

At the moment we look at the most powerful model, the Razer 40 Ultra and the specifications it will have. The advanced data for its processor may not please the most demanding users.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will arrive with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

According to the list of specifications published by XDA Developers, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. While it is still a very capable SoC, it is not the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

It should also be noted that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 was used in the Razr 2022, so we can say that there will be no evolution in this chapter. As for memory schemes, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will have up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal memory.

The screen of this folding smartphone will be an AMOLED, yet to be revealed, with Full-HD+ resolution and a high refresh rate. This detail is still unclear, as XDA Developers sources point to 120Hz, but various rumors assume 144Hz.

Its external screen will be 3.5 inches with a resolution of 1056 x 1066 pixels. This screen will have several layers of customization and the possibility of running applications on it, however, not all of them will be optimized for it at the launch of the smartphone.

In the photographic section, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will have a 12MP Sony IMX 563 main sensor and a 13MP SK Hynix Hi 1336 wide-angle sensor. The internal camera for selfies and video calls will be a 32 MP OmniVision OV32B40 sensor.

The battery of this foldable must be 3640 mAh with 33 W fast charging. Its software will have the Motorola My UX interface based on Android 13.

In view of the amount of details that we already know about the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, we can say that its presentation will not be long in coming. By the way, Motorola itself claims that the product will arrive “soon”, but has not yet set a date for its presentation.
