Imo CP decorates 10 newly promoted senior Police Officers

The Commissioner of Police in Imo State, CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde, Thursday, decorated 10 newly promoted senior police officers at the State Police Headquarters Owerri, Imo State.
The promoted officers include one Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP); eight Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP); and one (1) Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)who were recently promoted by the Police Service Commission PSC).
The Command’s spokesman, ASP Henry Okoye, later gave the names of the decorated officers as ACP Chinwe Justine Opara, CSP Kingsley Chikara Chukwuezi, CSP Stella Oluchi Ekpewerechi, CSP Goodwill Uchendu, CSP Nwaozichi Linda Madugba, CSP Yekeen Omoniyi, CSP Cosmas Chikodi Anyanwu, CSP Kingsley Ugah, CSP Nwokwo Vincent and DSP Daniel Ebele. He disclosed that the newly promoted officers would be reposted accordingly.
The CP, while congratulating the newly promoted senior police officers, stated that “Promotion is not a right but a privilege and just like the saying goes, ‘the higher you go, the tougher it becomes”, adding that they were expected to be saddled with more responsibilities on them.
He charged them to be more dedicated, loyal, responsible and work ardently towards delivering and entrenching the compliance of a modernised civil-oriented Police Service.
Present to decorate the newly promoted officers with the Commissioner of Police were DCP Ukachi Peter Okpara, DC Admin; DCP Olufemi Haruna, DC Operations; DCP Sirajo Fana Mohammed, DC SCIID; and other officers of the Command’s management team.
