CHICAGO (UKTN) – High winds and storms caused power outages for thousands of ComEd customers on Saturday.
According to ComEd, just before 5 p.m., more than 33,000 customers were affected by 1,548 power outages as a result of Saturday’s weather, bringing winds up to 60 mph and storm warnings in 10 Illinois counties. A wind advice will remain in effect until 7 p.m
ComEd says it will continue to monitor weather conditions and crews are working to repair outages.
ComEd serves a total of 4,064,853 customers, the company said Saturday.
