15-inch MacBook Air tipped to have M2 chip
The upcoming 15-inch Apple MacBook Air is unlikely to be powered by the M3 chip.
News aggregator account yeux1122 shared on the Korean Naver blog that the 15-inch Apple MacBook Air will be equipped with the M2 chip. Apple initially wanted to have the M3 chip for the MacBook Air, but decided against it due to several factors such as market conditions and inventory adjustment.
Bloomberg reported a few days that Apple has started testing the 15-inch MacBook Air with “third-party apps from the App Store to validate their compatibility”. In addition, it is said to deliver performance that is “on par with the current M2 chip”. The 15-inch MacBook Air is expected to be unveiled at WWDC 2023 in June.
