Vesti, a migration financial technology (fintech) company, has unveiled artificial intelligence (AI) financial tools aimed at simplifying and streamlining cross-border payments and financial transactions for billions of immigrants worldwide.
These tools, named ‘Miai and Safelock,’ are designed to alleviate financial and planning burdens for immigrants globally, aligning with the company’s strategic shift towards an AI-first approach initiated in late 2023.
Speaking at the unveiling in Lagos, the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vesti, Olusola Amusan, emphasised that the Miai and Safelock features are crafted to empower immigrants, making their journeys smoother, smarter, and more secure. He explained that Miai, an AI-driven migration assistant, is integrated within Vesti’s app and web platforms, serving as a conversational guide for users.
According to Amusan, Miai utilises advanced machine learning and natural language processing technologies to deliver personalized advice and engage users in natural dialogue, enhancing the migration planning experience.
Amusan added that Safelock, developed in collaboration with Providus Bank, provides a secure savings platform tailored to the unique financial challenges faced by immigrants. He said the feature includes real-time progress tracking, flexible goal setting, and robust security measures to protect users’ financial data.
“Individuals across the globe can now navigate the complexities of migration with greater confidence, armed with the knowledge and financial security to make their dreams a reality in their new homes,” he stated.
The Head of Card Business at Providus Bank, Lanre Ogundare, highlighted the significance of the partnership, noting that this collaboration aligns with the bank’s mission to provide innovative financial solutions that empower individuals.
Ogundare, who was represented by the Card Business and Prepaid Management and Solutions at Providus Bank, Olalekan Aderonmu, expressed confidence that the financial solutions will be an invaluable tool for immigrants managing their finances during their migration journey.
